The New Nintendo 3DS LL Super Smash Bros. Edition is a Japanese limited model whose shell is decorated with the Super Smash Bros. roster. Beyond the rare artwork, this particular unit is unusually desirable to enthusiasts: it has been fitted with IPS panels on both the upper and lower screens and a brand-new battery. IPS screens are prized on the New 3DS LL because they deliver noticeably better viewing angles, contrast and colour than the TN panels most units shipped with — and Nintendo fitted them only at random, so a confirmed dual-IPS system is scarce.
